 EPV Approved - Face-To-Face - Spanish For Beginner Primary School Teachers

Learning Outcomes

• To enable teachers to understand and teach basic Spanish conversational skills in a primary school classroom.
• To provide teachers with practical games and activities through which they can teach basic Spanish.
• To ensure teachers become more culturally aware of Spanish norms and traditions and can carry this awareness to their individual schools to improve cultural awareness.
• To equip teachers with the necessary resources to teach Spanish children's games and songs.
• They will be provided with examples of activities which promote the speaking of Spanish which they can then use in their classes.
• It will improve their grasp of basic Spanish, enabling them to more confidently teach and use it in a school setting.
• They will be provided with cultural experiences which will in turn enable them to re-create these and enhance learning in their class by immersion in both language and culture.

Time: 9.30 a.m. to 2.00 pm daily, 20 hrs in total.

Venue: Loreto Secondary School

Catering:  A light lunch will be provided at 11.30 a.m. each day.

Cost: €50.00. 

Summer Course Booking Policy

Our summer courses are booked on the condition that the course fee is non-refundable.

Wexford Education Support Centre reserves the right to cancel a Summer Course where there are not sufficient numbers to run the course. A full refund will be offered if this happens or you may also choose to reserve a place on an alternative course.  

Please note: Participants attending Summer Courses receive the following number of EPV days:   

• Full Attendance (20 Hours): 3 EPV Days
• 4 Days Attendance (16 Hours): 2 EPV Days 
• No EPV days will be awarded for less than 4 days attendance
• Please note: Closing Date for Registration is Friday 19th June 2026
